Since 2000, Susan has owned and operated her law firm, offering a variety of legal services to her individual, family and business clients. Her primary focus is on representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings, where she excels at both the legal and personal aspects of representing clients in financial distress.

In our uncertain economy, many Americans are experiencing money troubles. From foreclosure to job loss to unexpected medical bills, she understands that sometimes, bad things happen to good people. Susan prides herself on her compassionate and respectful representation of clients experiencing financial difficulties. She can relate to the stress of being overwhelmed with bills and worrying about your future. Her goal is to alleviate the pressure of debt and to ease the fear that many of her clients face as they are harassed by bill collectors and creditors. She knows that filing for bankruptcy is an incredibly difficult decision, but often a necessary one to help an individual or family get on better financial footing.

I inform my clients of the rights they have, alleviate their anxieties, and navigate the process smoothly together.

In addition to bankruptcy cases, Susan is experienced in several other areas of law. She works with clients to draft comprehensive estate plans, making sure that their needs are met with wills, trusts, healthcare directives, powers of attorney and other legal documents. She also represents clients who have been charged with crimes in the state of Kansas. Susan is also adept at handling tax litigation for a range of tax disputes, including income tax, property tax, and business tax matters.

Susan graduated from Washburn Law School in Topeka, Kansas, where she also received her undergraduate degree in English. She has more than 17 years of legal experience, representing clients in bankruptcy filings, tax matters, criminal cases and shepherding them through the estate planning process.

When Susan is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her four children and her grandson. She is an avid hiker and gardener and likes spending time in nature. Susan is also a fan of both music and fitness.
